Margareta Krantz – Textile and Mixed Media Artist
- Born in Stockholm in 1950, since 1999 living in Båstad.
- University College of Arts, Crafts and Design (Konstfackskolan), Sthlm, Department of Textile, 1968-73.
- Solo and group exhibitions; Public commissions – all over Sweden.

I often work in my own mixed textile technique, which could be described as follows:
Printing and painting on large pieces of cotton and linen fabrics. Cutting forms with knife or scissors from selected parts of the fabric. Then there is the process of composition – a “puzzle”, directly on the walls in my studio or sometimes on the floor – and when I’m ready to finish my work, I put the pieces together with my sewing-machine.
